We took a chance that the stuff outside of downtown Las Vegas is as cool as the stuff inside. Yep, it is- and maybe slightly better- especially if you’re in the mood for a change of scenery, some fresh air, that sort of thing.

Red Rock Canyon is just to the west of the city. The $5.00 fee to drive the 13 mile scenic loop (nothing is free here) is well worth it. Our only disappointment was that we didn’t see any of the wild burros or horses that are supposed to be running free all over the canyon. Maybe another time- I’m sure we’ll be back.
