One of the two giant blast furnaces (updated in the 1920s) which produced 950 tons of iron per day. The ramp at the right contains rails used to pull ore skips up the ~60 degree slope to be dumped in the top of the furnace. As with the 19th century Tannehill, this 20th century furnace was drained of iron and slag out the bottom and was in constant use.
