Here's a closer look at the Washington statue. It was made in 1785 by Jean-Antoine Houdon after visiting George at Mt Vernon where he took detailed body measurements and made sketches. He also coated George's face with oil and covered it in plaster to make a life mask. The 6 foot, 2 inch statue is considered a perfect likeness and the most accurate representation of Washington in existence.
