With temps in the 100+ range, we didn't get to spend too much time outdoors this stop, but still managed to see some fun things!
We spent a nice cool evening at the Mt. Lemmon Observatory for their SkyNights Stargazing program where we were able to observe several objects through their 32inch Schulman Telescope.

The Observatory is the at very top of Mt. Lemmon: 10,000 feet. The cold night was a great break from the heat and we caught an amazing sunset.

Among the many far away objects that we saw (young and old star clusters, Jupiter and a couple of its moons, the Orion Nebula, and Cappella) we viewed the moon up close and even got a couple of pictures through the telescope.

Back in Tucson, we took a driving tour around the Miracle Mile Historic District where you can find lots of cool old neon motel signs from back when this area was a major hub for travelers.

Our last day in town we drove down to Tombstone. We've been there before, so only stayed long enough for lunch and a short stop at the saloon (Tombstone Brewery). It was a fun day!
